@Po'kchop & anyone else who may read this...

This organization (Exodus) is about as bigoted and hypocritical as they come. My own parents attend these Exodus meetings and donate their hard-earned money to this industry of lies. It's sad... they prey on the false hopes of religious fundamentalists with GLBTQ loved ones and often permanently fuck up the lives of everyone involved. I've written this on several other blogs, so I may as well write it here... What amazes me most about these organizations is that they are quick to tout dubious statistics concerning the "cure" (damage) rate of those who submit to their "reparative therapy", yet they don't mention a thing about the rates of mental illness and suicide in the years following this supposed "therapy". Look into it for yourself, does this really sound like "Love In Action"??!!!

"Love in Action?" Oh, for Christ's sake. Talk about hypocrisy.

I have an old friend from HS that I had lost touch with, and when I did come into contact with him again I found that through a horrible set of circumstances he had not only been put through an anti-gay camp (this one's called "Love in Action" in TN), he's now in charge of admissions for the place. It hurts me to the core to see someone with such promise throw their life and talent away to something so...evil. ::shakes head:: With so many other things that are pressing in the world, it seems to me that people like this would be more concerned about, oh, I don't know, people starving to death or killing each other needlessly than who their neighbor's fucking or who's making fun of them on the internet. ::shrugs:: Reason never wins out, I suppose.
