I ruined my pens
June 14th, 2006In case you skimmed the title of this post too quickly, that’s P-E-N-S.
And I did. After drawing the first two panels of today’s strip a couple days ago, it appears I left my two primary Rapidograph pens with the caps off. When I returned to the strip last night, they simply didn’t work. Clogged, I suppose, with dried ink. I feel like an idiot.
Does anyone know how to clean Rapidographs? I lost the manual. (For people who don’t know anything about Rapidographs, yes, they come with a manual. They’re really good pens.)

Ooh, that’s exactly what I was looking for! Thanks!

Doing a little web searching, I found one recommendation for getting an inexpensive ultrasonic jewelry cleaner to clean them with.
No experience of my own with the pens or the cleaner, but it sounded like a reasonable approach to me.
