RIP Ann Richards
September 14th, 2006I was devastated this morning to hear news of the death of Texas’ beloved former governor, Ann Richards. Although I never lived in this state during her term, I saw her out and about a few times (rumor was she lived in a new luxury apartment complex in my neighborhood) and was always in awe of the old dame. She was the kind of liberal we need more of these days… tough, witty, and take-no-prisoners. Texas will miss her.
