Decent interval
This strip is highly inaccurate. No matter what kind of panels I used, or how thin I made them, no comic strip could convey the microscopic time span between the shooting at Virginia Tech and the time that internet blowhards on both sides of the issue started spouting off about more gun control, or more guns, would have prevented the massacre, and blah blah blah. I know I usually take sides on most issues, and yeah, I have an opinion on guns, but in this case both camps make me sick to my fucking stomach and should be dreadfully ashamed of themselves.
Anyway, enough of this. Happy 4/20, everyone, I hope your day is nice and toasty. Peace.
Transcript | Narrator | And now, to discuss the political ramifications of the Virginia Tech massacre, we have one liberal and one conservative... |
| Liberal and Conservative | Oh, good heavens, no! I’d never dream of exploiting such an awful tragedy for political purposes! My prayers are with the victims’ families in this time of need... |
| Narrator | Wow, that’s actually kind of decent of you fellows... |
| Liberal | Of course, if his legally-obtained handguns had been harder to get, maybe this tragedy could have been... |
| Conservative | Oh, go fuck yourself! If Virginia had only enacted simple concealed-carry laws, someone armed could have stopped this lunatic before he managed to kill 33 people in two... |
| Narrator | Nevermind. |

Nicely done. It never takes long after any kind of tragedy for the politicians to find a way to exploit it and use it as a platform for their issues.
Great comic, btw. I just stumbled onto it this morning via Comixpedia. I’m going to add it to my list of feeds so I can read it regularly
