		<description>Damn it!  I already read it!  Actually I think you said it pretty well in the strip.

I think that a writer who (re)uses the same characters needs to fall and be in love with them.  If you can do that you'll discover unexpected inner qualities they have and really truly care what happens to them.  Then their stories and opinions will flourish.

Our comics -- or all comics by nature -- reuse the same characters.  Check out Doonesbury.  It's obvious Trudeau cares what happens to the people in his universe.

Or maybe I don't know what I'm talking about.</description>
